Research and Application of System Comprehensive Optimization and Crucial Technology of Energy Conservation and Pollution Reduction for 1 Thousand MW Ultra Supercritical units of Waigaoqiao No.3 Power Generation was awarded the Second in National Science and Technology Progress Award.
Within our system, Shanghai Oil and Natural Gas Co, Waigaoqiao NO.3 Power Company, Oriental Enviro-Industry Company and Zhangjiang New Energy Company were rated as high-tech enterprises.
Energy Conservation And Emission Reduction
Accelerate the promotion of natural gas
Natural gas is widely used in power generation, distributed energy supply, LNG transportation, coal-fired (heavy oil) boiler substitution, gas air conditioning and other new fields in Shanghai. In 2017, the clean substitution target of coal-fired boilers set by the municipal government has been fully fulfilled; seven gas stations have been built in Shanghai Port Area, and the amount of energy for land and water transportation in ports has increased by 50% over the same period of last year.
Net Coal Consumption Rate
The Company advocates that energy conservation and emission reduction are important for energy enterprises to protect the environment and create low-carbon life. Through continuous technological innovation and reformation the net coal consumption rate of the plants attached to the Shenergy Group system has reached a national leading level, and the net coal consumption rate and operating efficiency of Shanghai Waigaoqiao No. 3 Power Generation Co., Ltd. have achieved the world-class level. Waigaoqiao NO.3 Power Generation CO., LTD was conferred with the title that “the only demonstration base of coal-fired power of energy conservation and emission reduction” by National Energy Administration.
Desulfurization and Denitration
The desulfurization project of plants within the Shenergy Group system had been put into operation by the end of 2008 .The denitration projects of plants within the Shenergy Group system had been carried out comprehensively in 2013.
