Description
Synthol decanted oil from Sasol’s coal-to-liquid Fischer-Tropsch process is distilled and one of the products separated in this process is called Waxy Oil. The Waxy Oil is fed into the coker drums at high temperature and pressure.
During the delayed coking process light hydrocarbons are formed that are routed back to our refining unit while the complex carbon structure form a solid called SASGREEN LS.
The SASGREEN LS is an ultra-low sulphur green coke which is further worked up for supply into the specialised recarburiser market.
