Shandong Weijiao Holdings Group Co., Ltd., formerly known as Changwei Zhuliudian Coking Plant, founded in 1971, is a national large-scale modernized enterprise, centering on the development of coal chemical industry and integrating science, industry and trade. The company now has two industrial bases in Changle, Weifang and Xuecheng, Zaozhuang, with more than 3,800 employees and an area of more than 5,000 mu, has a total asset of 9.7 billion yuan, 3 wholly-owned subsidiaries, 7 holding subsidiaries and 3 joint-stock subsidiaries. It produces more than 40 kinds of products, including coke, carbon black oil, technical naphthalene, modified bitumen, phthalic anhydride, PBT synthetic resin, anode material for Li-ion battery, food additive ammonium bicarbonate, pure benzene and phenol, which are widely used in metallurgical, chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing and other industries, and are not only sold well at home, but also exported to more than 50 countries and regions around the world.
Coking production
It has two production bases in Weifang and Zaozhuang, and has the coking capacity of up to 3 million tons each year, perfect chemical products recovery system and CDQ and waste heat power generation device, which ranks the first camp of independent coking enterprises in the province, with an annual output of 3 million tons of high-quality metallurgical coke, 260 thousand tons of coal tar, 65 thousand tons of crude benzene, 1 billion cubic meters of external gas supply, 1.5 million tons of steam and 200 million kw.h power generation; around the comprehensive utilization of coal gas, by using the leading technology of non-catalytic conversion gas-made synthetic ammonia in China, it is the China’s largest production base of the food additive ammonium bicarbonate,with an annual output of 100 thousand tons of food additive ammonium bicarbonate, and its “Chang” brand trademark has been awarded the “Well-known Brank in China”.
Coal tar deep process
Through deepening cooperation with Japan’s JFEC, the company has established two joint ventures, i.e.Shandong Jiefuyizhenxing Chemical Co., Ltd. and Zaozhuang Jiefuyizhenxing Chemical Co., Ltd., with the annual coal tar deep process capacity exceeding 1 million tons; both the processing capacity of single device and comprehensive scale are ranked at the forefront of its kind at home and abroad; the quality of its leading products, such as carbon black oil, modified bitumen and technical naphthalene, has reached world-class level;the company has participated in establishing the national standard for carbon black oil, which triggers the raw material change of domestic carbon black enterprises. In order to extend the industrial chain, the company has introduced the production technology of phthalic anhydride from Japanese JFEC, and built up the project of technical naphthalene-made phthalic anhydride with an annual output of 40 thousand tons, which further enhances the overall strength of the company.
Deep processing of crude benzene
Taking Weifang Zhenxingrisheng Chemical Co., Ltd as the main body, by using the advanced hydrofining process in China, the annual deep processing capacity of crude benzene has exceeded 200 thousand tons; pure benzene as the leading product can be comparable with petroleum products. Relying on the group company’s raw materials, resources and other advantages, the company has a strong overall competitive strength.
Fine chemicals of phenols
Taking Weifang Zhenxinghongtai Chemical Co., Ltd. as the main body, and the crude phenol produced from coal tar processing as raw materials, the company has built the crude phenol deep processing device with the annual output of 10 thousand tons, which is the largest single batch distillation unit in China; and the product has occupied the high-end market due to superior quality. In the next stage, the company plans to construct series downstream extension projects to build the leading green phenolic products demonstration park in China.
New energy/new material
The company has invested about 1 billion yuan totally to introduce the JFEC technology from Japan, and uses special asphalt produced by coal tar processing and heavy benzol produced by the deep processing of crude benzene as raw materials to produce anode material for Li-ion battery and high-purity industrial indene through deep processing, which has been widely used in smart phones, digital appliances and other high-tech fields. The company has introduced the technology of Lurgi GmbH in German and built the new project with an annual output of 60 thousand tons of new PBT materials, and the product fills in the gaps in the new material-high-end engineering plastics-in Shandong Province. By using coking by-product gas as raw materials, the company is planning to build the 160 thousand t/a LNG project to achieve clean and efficient use of traditional energy.
