Jiutai Group, established in 2002 , is a large-scale private joint-stock enterprise that was listed on the mainboard of Singapore Exchange. We are mainly engaged in the research and production of Dimethyl Ether (DME), Methyl Alcohol (“Methanol”) and other downstream products.
After more than ten years of development, we have grown into a large enterprise group with bases in Shandong, Inner Mongolia, and the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta, and integrated with energy and chemical industry. We have a number of subsidiaries in Linyi, Erdos, Guangzhou, Zhangjiagang and Beijing. Our annual production capacity for Methanol and DME has reached to 1.3 million tons, Jiutai group is believed to be the largest commercial producer of DME in the world. In Inner Mongolia, the plant with 1 million production capacity per annum is considered as the largest individual unit of coal-based Methanol production plant.
Dimthyl Ether
Dimethyl ether ( “DME”), it is a colorless gas at normal temperature and normal pressure; it has slight methyl odor and similar to LPG, the vapor pressure is 0.5MPa under the condition of room temperature. It has wide application, which can be automobile fuel substitute for gasoline and diesel , domestic fuel substitute for LPG, cutting fuel substitute for acetylene, and used as aerosol propellant ,organic solvent ,refrigerant and alkylating agent ,etc. It is widely used in many industries such as light industry, pharmacy, fuel and pesticide, and can be developed into lots of down-stream products with high value-added.
Methanol
Methanol is a colorless and clear liquid at normal temperature and pressure, with odor of ethanol sample, it is easy to volatilize, it is an important chemical industry basic material and clean fuel, and is widely used for organic synthesis, medicine, coating, dye, automobile, national defense, and so on.
Ethylene Glycol
Ethylene Glycol is a kind of colorless, odorless and sweet liquid. it is an important organic chemical material, it is mainly used for PET-polyester ,resin ,etc .
The Further Processing Project of Methanol
Low carbon olefin such as ethylene ,propylene is the foundation of modern chemistry industry , it is widely used to produce many kinds of organic chemical material ,such as plastic ,rubber and fiber, using light oil to crack and produce Methanol is traditional process. Developing the technology that use coal as the material to make low carbon olefin is necessary because of China’s strategy of coal substitute for oil .On March23,2012, Zhungeer Branch’s olefin projects of 600，000 tons production capacity per annum began to build, this project take full advantage of rich methanol resource around Dalu New District, achieve the local inversion of methanol and extension of industry chain , it will enhance the added value of our product.
