DISTILLATE OILS
Distillate oils are produced during the distillation process of coal tar and petroleum feedstocks. Lone Star’s distillation technology allows us to offer distillate oils according to the American Wood Protection Associations standards for P1, P2 and P3 creosote and also those that meet the specifications for carbon black feedstock. REFINED TARS
Refined tars are produced through the low temperature distillation of coal tar and petroleum feedstocks. In its most common application, Lone Star refined tar, which is commonly called RT-12, is blended with clay, emulsifiers and water to create a finished product roadway sealer. Lone Star’s distillation technology allows us to offer refined tars that meet the specifications of both the roadway sealer market and for specialty applications. Our extensive equipment capabilities allow us to ship refined tars via railcar, tank truck, and specialty packaging.
