Sales Vs. Marketing - The Fundamental Difference

I remember the moment very clearly.

It was early 2009.  I'd spent just over $50 on Google Adwords, driving traffic to a very amateur lead capture page I'd (over) paid another company to create for me.

The truth is I had no idea what I was doing so my lead cost was way too high.

But I was still happy - finally, I had my first lead!

A name, email address, and phone number of a lady who lived on the other side of Australia.

I picked up the phone and nervously dialled her number, half hoping she would not pick up.

She did.

I started nervously reading through my sales script.

I wanted to see if I could help her, but, of course I wanted to make the sale too.

15 seconds later she hung up on me!

Clearly, my phone sales skills were going to need some work.

If only I'd known the lessons I discuss in the video below, I would have saved myself over a year of repeating this scenario (and it's important you watch it too because you may be making the same mistakes!):

I truly hope you 'get' the lesson I discuss there.  It will save you so much time.
Remember:  as long as you can get good at marketing, the selling part is relatively easy and effortless.
