One of my fondest memories is playing checkers with my dad when I was a little boy. As you might imagine, I rarely won... it's pretty hard for a kid to beat an adult at checkers. The game is so simple that even young children can grasp the basics. But once you've reached the age of 8 or 9, you can scan the board and tell what your opponent will do if you make a particular move. So, most folks outgrow checkers when they become an adult. It's just not that challenging. Chess, of course is different. It's a far more complicated game. One that's too complex to ever "grow out of." Master chess players can scan the board and tell what?s going to happen 10 moves ahead. Sometimes more. Often they can see the "end game" after only a few moves. But these are the masters. Newbies can't see more than a move or two in advance. And they get trounced because of their short-sightedness. At first glance, setting up an online business appears to be a 'checkers' game... But every one of those moves listed above can have unforeseen negative consequences if you fail to see 2 or 3 moves ahead. All of sudden the board is rearranged and the next sequence of moves can leave you in "check mate". And you end up out of business. That's why I created MTTB.
