Inspired by the original idea behind Basis as well as its predecessors (bDollar and Tomb Finance), Ftom.finance is a multi-token protocol which consists of the following three tokens:
1. Ftom ($FTOM): the algorithmic stablecoin with price pegged to $FTM
2. Ftom Shares ($FSHARE): which holders can claim FTOM reward emission when the network expands
3. Ftom Bonds ($FBOND): which can be purchased at 1:1 rate when the network is in contraction and can be redeemed with premium for FTOM the network returns to its inflationary state, above the price of 1 $FTM.
In addition to existing and future use cases such as FTMPad, $FTOM aims to become the main medium of exchange on Fantom Opera: this will be achieved by providing a mirrored, liquid asset to $FTM. One of the primary shortcomings of past algorithmic tokens has been a lack of use cases, leaving no good reason for somebody to want to use or hold them. In order to successfully maintain the peg in the long-run, the Ftom Finance team will maintain a focus on innovation around enhanced functionality and use cases.
