"Elevator Speech" about the New N&Z Climate Concept
- The radiative "Greenhouse" theory of climate was proposed in the 19th Century as a conjecture, which has never been verified experimentally.
- The thermal effect of Earth's atmosphere thought to be 18 - 33 K has been miscalculated for 40+ years. The actual effect is about 90 K.
- Recent NASA planetary data revealed that Earth's global surface temperature is a part of a cosmic thermodynamic continuum spanning the Solar System and the 90 K Atmospheric Thermal Effect (ATE) is completely explained by just two factors: solar irradiance and total surface air pressure.
- The implication of this discovery based on NASA data is that the atmosphere warms the surface adiabatically through gas compression, not IR radiation. Hence, planetary surface temperatures are independent of the chemical makeup of the atmosphere and a trace gas such as CO2 cannot have any measurable impact on Earth's climate. This is a new paradigm for climate science.

Why is the "Green New Deal" Scientifically Unfounded?
The "Green New Deal (GND) is a radical proposal by two Democratic Representatives in the US Congress to transform the economy and eliminate all U.S. industrial carbon emissions by 2030 while moving to a wind and solar-based energy infrastructure. GND is aimed at 'curbing" climate change and "saving" Earth from an alleged overheating due to CO2 emissions. However, GND is predicated on misconceptions, false assumption, and faulty computer model projections:
- The notion that Earth's climate is controlled by trace gases such as CO2 and methane is based on a concocted 19h-Century concept, which has recently been falsified by NASA planetary observations. The atmosphere warms the surface adiabatically through compression of total air mass by gravity, not through absorption & re-emission of outgoing IR radiation by so-called 'greenhouse gases'. The atmospheric IR back radiation is a byproduct of the Atmospheric Thermal Effect (ATE) caused by total Sr pressure & solar radiation, not a driver of ATE. NASA data showed that the global temperature of any planet is independent of its atmospheric composition (Nikolov & Zeller 2017). Hence, carbon emissions have zero effect on Earth's climate! Observed climate change over the past 150 years has been caused by variations in global cloud cover/albedo, not CO2!
- CO2 is not a "toxin' or a 'pollutant* as erroneously assumed by the media and scientifically illiterate politicians. It's a life-giving gas that enables the thriving of all ecosystems on Earth. Our bodies consist of —50% carbon, which exclusively comes from atmospheric CO2 through the food chain starting with plant photosynthesis. According to NASA data, what makes the World greener are warmer temperatures and higher atmospheric CO2 (Zhu et al. 2016), not windmills & solar panels!
