Indonesia - Stock Picks for Today - February 15, 2018: INCO, BTPN, JSMR, MEDC, WEGE, ADRO, BBNI, BMRI, WSBP, TBIG, LPCK



1. Vale Indonesia (INCO)
  • The trend of increase in the price of nickel push INCO continuing projects are delayed. One of them, plan to build the nickel exploration around Bahodopi, South Sulawesi and Pomala, Southeast Sulawesi.
  • Analysts consensus mentions that the price of nickel in 2018 will move in the range of USD 12,000 per tonne. This means that there will be an price increase by 20% from the average of the year 2017.
2. Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional (BTPN)
  • The company posts consolidated profit of Rp 1,22 trillion, or down 30.3% compared to the same period last year amounted to Rp 1,75 trillion. The company's earnings decline caused by the company restructuring, branch office, and human resources on quarter IV 2017 that spent Rp760 billion. If there is no restructuring and investments, the company's actual profit grew 6% compared to the year 2016.
  • Total assets of the company 2017 rose to Rp 95.48 trillion from the previous Rp 91.37 trillion

With the restructuring, then the company could do the operating expenses efficiency of approximately 10-15% by the year 2018.
  • If the merger is BTPN and Sumitomo Mitsui Indonesia already took place, the bank will become the Book IV bank with core capital of at least Rp 30 trillion. BTPN would be a survivor bank.
  • The year 2018, BTPN would launch a coworking space located on the 37th floor BTPN Tower.
3. Jasa Marga (JSMR)
  • The company posted net profit of Rp 2.2 trillion in 2017, or up 16.45% compared to the same period in 2016 of Rp 1.88 trillion.
  • Revenue 2017 reached Rp 35.09 trillion or rise 110.61% in the same period from the previous year of Rp 16.66 trillion.
  • The total liability of the company up to Rp 37.16 trillion at 31 December 2016 to Rp 60.83 trillion at 31 December 2017. While equity up to Rp 18.35 trillion at December 31, 2017. While cash  flow amounted to Rp 6.87 trillion at December 31, 2017.
4. Medco Energy International (MEDC)
  • Production facility project in block A, Aceh, will be operational in late March 2018. The project is producing oil to 3,100 bph and 55 million cubic feet per day (million) gas.
  • Medco has already signed Gas Purchase Agreement (PJBG) with PT Pertamina (Persero) in January 2015 with a volume of 198 trillion BTU of gas over a period of 13 years. This gas will be used for fertilizer factory and industrial needs in the provinces of Aceh and North Sumatra.
  • For revenue sharing is the Government USD 492 million, the contractor USD 209 million and the cost of the return on investment/cost recovery USD 1.3 billion.
5. Wika Gedung (WEGE)
  • Company gets new contract per January 2018 Rp 422.05 billion comes from three existing project in Palembang, Semarang and Pekalongan.
  • Per December 2017, WEGE noted the order book amounted to Rp 12.92 trillion. This year, targeting the WEGE order book reached Rp 16.59 trillion.
  • The target order book this year consists of new contract target 2018 Rp 7.83 trillion, and the carry over of Rp 8.76 trillion in 2017.
6. Adaro Energy (ADRO)
  • On Monday trade (12/2), the price of coal contract April 2018 closed rebound 1.20% or 0.95 points to as low as US $80 per metric ton. While trading on Tuesday, the price of coal for April 2018 contract, contract most active Rotterdam commodities exchange surged 3.37% or 2.70 points to as low as US $82,70 per metric ton.
  • The construction of the coal plant of Tanjung Power Indonesia 200 MW in Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan, has reached 85 % and the plan in the year 2019 have started to operate. This plant managed by PT Tanjung Indonesia Power which is a consortium of PT Adaro Power, subsidiary PT Adaro Energy, with South Korea company, PT East West Power Indonesia (EWPI).
  • Adaro Power also developed a number of coal plants among others are 2 x 1000 MW at Batang, Central Java, 2X100 MW and 2X30 MW in Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan.
7. Bank Negara Indonesia (BBNI)
  • The company pegged the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) in 2018 in the range of 17.5% to 18%. At the end of the year 2017, BBNI noted the position of the total CAR decreased by 18.5% compared to the same period last year amounted to 19.4%.
  • While third-party funds (DPK) reached Rp 516.09 trillion or grew 18.5% on an annual basis or year on year (yoy). While 2017 assets reached Rp 709.33 trillion.
  • Company in 2017 also enjoyed growth of trade credits,  the increase in export credit of 27.1% to Rp 1.2 trliun.
8. Bank Mandiri (BMRI)
  • Among the state-owned banks, the BMRI registered the highest profit growth, reached Rp 20,6 trillion or jump 49.5 percent compared to the previous year. The company also successfully suppress problematic non performing loan (NPL) up to 3.46 percent in 2017 from previous 4 percent in 2016. The company also slashed backup cost allocation from Rp 24,6 trillion in 2016 to Rp 16 trillion in 2017. While the assets of the BMRI at 2017 rose to Rp 1,124.7 trillion.
  • Real Estate Indonesia (REI) in cooperation with PT Taspen as the guarantor of the Apparatus State Civil (ASN) retirement to provide a home for retirees who do not yet have occupancy. REI is also working with the BBTN and PT Bank Mandiri Taspen to facilitate the procurement of residence for the retired.
9. Waskita Beton Precast (WSBP)
  • WSBP currently being built processing plant in the industrial area Buluminung (KIB), East Kalimantan. The plant will supply materials for the construction of concrete structure of JTTB (Toll Bridge Balikpapan Gulf)
  • JTTB will connect PPU with Balikpapan along 7.75 kilometers with investment value Rp 16.2 trillion, with a working period of four years.
10. Tower Bersama Infrastruktur (TBIG)
  • In the year 2018, the company is targeting 2,500 new tenants and build about 1,000 telecommunication towers. The target is lower than the realization of the construction of the tower of the year 2017 reached 1,200 towers.
  • The required investment of Rp 1 trillion (Rp 1 billion for 1 tower). The towers 80% will be built outside Java island.
  • Until the end of the quarter III-2017, TBIG already has about 13,500 of the towers. Approximately 50% of the tower rented by Telkomsel. Meanwhile, the number of tenants until the end of 2017 has reached 23,000 tenant.
11. Lippo Cikarang (LPCK)
