Established in 1973, PT Tunas Baru Lampung Tbk ( “TBLA” ) is a member of company of Sungai Budi Group, a pioneer in Indonesia’s agricultural industry which was founded in 1947. TBLA was established from a desire to assist the country’s development and to capitalize on Indonesia’s competitive advantage in agriculture. Today, Sungai Budi Group is one of Indonesia’s largest manufacturers and distributors of agricultural based consumer products.

PT Tunas Baru Lampung Tbk began its operations in Lampung in the early 1970s, since then we have grown to become one of the largest and lowest cost vegetable cooking oil producers. PT. Tunas Baru Lampung Tbk was publicly listed in Jakarta Stock Exchange in 14 Feb 2000.

Another member company of the Sungai Budi Group is the publicity listed  PT Budi Starch & Sweetener Tbk  ( Previously PT Budi Acid Jaya Tbk), the largest and most fully integrated tapioca starch manufacturer in Indonesia.

PRODUCTS

Our edible oil and fats product are quickly gaining market share over the years, we have increased our production capacity in Lampung and South Sumatera , where we currently have a market share about 60 percent.

 

We also entered into new markets in 1996 in East java by acquiring a cooking oil refinery. We see this as our gateway to other Eastern Indonesia Markets such as Kalimantan, Bali, Lombok, Maluku, and Irian Jaya. Since this acquisition, we have improved the efficiency of our East Java refinery and expanded our production capacity in 1999.

 

We have also increased the production capacity of refinery and built the second CPO mill in Lampung from the proceeds of Iinitial Public Offering, in starting from year 2000. We are committed to increase our production and maintain the quality of our products. We plan to invest in new crude oil mills in our plantations in Lampung in the near future.

 

In addition to vegetable cooking oil, we also produce crude coconut oil, stearine, crude palm oil, pal kernel oil, other consumer products such as cream soap and laundry soap which utilize fatty acid, a by-product from CPO production.

Since many years ago, the Company has planned to enter into sugar business .This business will be an integrated business , from sugar cane plantation  until sugar mill and sugar refinery.

PT Citra Borneo Utama Tbk. (CBUT), founded in 2013 and headquartered in Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. PT Citra Borneo Utama Tbk. (CBUT), a company that manages downstream palm oil business such as palm oil refining and trading.

Our factory located in Tempenek, Kumai, Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan. We support the government downstream program by increasing domestic added value through trusted sources and sustainable businesses.

Currently, the Company's total refinery plant capacity is 2,500 MT CPO / day or 850,000 MT CPO / year, fractionation plant with a total capacity of 2,500 MT RBDPO / day or 850,000 MT RBDPO / year and kernel crushing plant with a total capacity of 600 MT kernel / hour or 219,000 MT kernel / year. The Company also produced approximately 565,076 MT RBDPO, 322,447 MT OLEIN, 77,313 MT STEARIN, 21,523 MT PFAD, and 9,991. MT CPKO.

PRODUCTS

Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO)

RBDPO (Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Oil) is the main product of Refinery Process. Physical refining removes smells and coloration to produce edible oil. It is seen as mixture of solid and liquid form of fat in room temperature. RBDPO can directly use as edible oil or becoming raw material in the manufacture of soaps, washing powder and other products. It is known that RBDPO can be used to produce Biodiesel.

Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Olein (RBDPL)

RBDPL (Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Olein) from separating liquid part and solid part of RBDPO after crystallization trough process called Fractionation. RBDP Olein is fully liquid at ambient temperature in warm climates. This clear golden in color liquid is tasteless and odorless. RBDP Olein widely used as cooking oil mainly for frying either for deep or shallow frying. The high stability of the oil makes it exceptionally suitable for frying purposes.

Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Stearin (RBDPS)

RBDPS (Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Stearin) is the solid part that obtained through the fractionation. RBDP Stearin is use for making trans-free fats that mainly consume as margarine and shortening. Besides edible usage, palm stearin also possesses suitable properties for making soaps and formulating animal feeds. It is also an excellent feed stock for oleochemicals.

Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD)

PFAD (Palm Fatty Acid Distillate) is a by-product of physical CPO distillation or industrially known as Refinery. It namely after degumming, deacidification, and vacuum drying stages. The largest components in PFAD are free fatty acids, carotenoid components, and other volatile compounds. PFAD is used as animal feed and laundry soap industries. It also enters oleochemicals industry as its raw material. Squalene, Vitamin E, Phytosterols are value-added products which could be extracted from PFAD and have potential value for cosmetic industries.

Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO)

CPKO (Crude Palm Kernel Oil) is obtained from the kernel of the oil palm fruit. Its composition and properties differ significantly from palm oil. CPKO is produced by mechanical extraction of the kernels which are pre-dried in palm oil mills through a partial vacuum process. The quality of the oil is excellent, with free fatty acids of the crude oil generally below 2%. It is light yellow in colour and is refined physically to produce a very light coloured oil used for both edible and inedible purposes. The oil is also semi-solid at ambient temperatures.

Palm Kernel Expeller (PKE)

PKE (Palm Kernel Expeller) is a by-product of the crushing and expelling of oil from Palm Kernel. It is widely use as animal feed because PKE containing high levels of crude protein.

The formation of this single entity was named PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara which was inaugurated on August 17, 2021. The establishment of PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara is one of the 88 programs of the Ministry of SOEs 2020-2023, with the aim of increasing sugar production so that it does not import and restore the glory of the Indonesian sugar industry as in 1930.

2020 There are operational and financial challenges for the Company with soaring sugar imports in 2020. Masterkidz has been producing wooden toys and games for two decades in China, our newly setup production factory in Indonesia emphasis Industry 4.0 to help of interconnectivity through the access to real-time data, and the introduction of cyber-physical systems.

PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Holding is a State-Owned Enterprise Plantation engaged in the management, processing and marketing of plantation products. The commodities cultivated are palm oil, rubber, sugarcane, tea, coffee, cocoa, tobacco, various timber, fruits and various other crops.

Company Vision & Mission

The Company was established with the aim and objective to implement government policies and programs by contributing to the economy and national development, especially in the plantation subsector and increasing profits through sound Company principles based on increasing added value for the country and shareholders.

Area

The total area owned by PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Holding Perkebunan is 1,181,751.03 Ha with land concession status around 68% already certified, 20% certificates expired/in the process of renewal and 12% not yet certified. Meanwhile, the total planted area owned by PTPN is 817,536 hectares consisting of palm oil, rubber, tea, sugarcane, coffee, cocoa, tobacco, wood and horticulture commodities. In addition, in order to improve the welfare of the community around PTPN, it also has a plasma plantation area of 457,794 hectares.
