Romance and sexiness are not love

 You, as the pulling away spouse, may be requested to be more “romantic” or “sexy.”

The request may be direct: “I want you to be more romantic or sexy,” or you pick up from the need system of your spouse that s/he thinks it would be wonderful if you were more romantic or sexy, to meet his/her needs.

As a male you are asked to be more romantic. If you are a typical male, this strikes a scary cord within.

Romance is a loaded word.

You think of some stud, with piercing eyes and sly soft smile who knows how to whoooo a woman and “sweep her off her feet.” You are expected to say the right thing at the right time with a particular tone of voice and body language.

Flowers, chocolates, staring into her eyes in the moonlight, love filled text messages, cards which express your undying passionate love and words that frequently express how much you want her become your model.

And, deep within you, maybe not so deep, you realize that you feel terribly inadequate being that stud.

You cannot measure up. You may feel inadequate with words in expressing your deep feelings of love.

You think of the sexual encounter and again, you may not be the sensitive caring stud you believe she wants.

If you are a female, you may carry the weight of believing you must be sexy.

You must be provocative.

Of course you must look sexy.

You must turn him on.

Your breasts, you legs, your abs, your rear become the focus of your attention. You work hard to “strut your stuff” so that you can, as they say, “keep your man.”

You must be alluring. There needs to be a little mystery about you.

And, of course, when he is turned on you must be ready, waiting and responsive.

You know how important sex is to him and realize that those moments may be the moments in which he feels closest to you and values you the most. He equates sex with romance.

It is understandable that you pull away, as perhaps, a part of you internally rebels at either romance or sexiness.

When your spouse or partner indicates a need for romance or sexiness, it is just that: neediness.

And, at some level you want your relationship and marriage based on more than the constant empty games of romance and sexiness.

As well, an underlying tension, a fairly large elephant in the room, spoils your mood and undercuts the enjoyment of your spouse and your relationship as you flirt with being romantic or sexy.

Romance and sexiness demand a performance on your part.

Romance and sexiness are not love.

You must measure up to being romantic and sexy as defined in the movies, tabloids, advertising and other forms of media that tell you whom you must be to be romantic and sexy.

Who wants to perform in a marriage?

Who wants to live up to artificial cultural illusions?

I don’t and I assume you don’t either.

Consider this also: pulling away or distancing in your marriage or with your partner is often interpreted as you lacking “feelings” or “sensitivity.”

I’ve worked with literally thousands in my clinical practice and I can assure that you, as a man, or “emotionally remote” woman HAVE feelings.

Your spouse may be the one who seemingly majors in feelings; seems more expressive or at least is more verbal. (Frequently, having “feelings” means one is entitled to express frustration, anger, disgust or self-pity, which deflect from the underlying more accurate feelings of hurt or fear.)

And, is often the case, a balance is achieved in a marriage whereby one is more expressive and the other more reserved. Each comes to rely on the other for either being expressive or reserved – perhaps a good problems solver or thinker.

You have feelings.

They are real.

They are powerful.

They DO exist.

They have validity.

Your challenge may be first identifying your underlying feelings (you perhaps haven’t had to, to this point) and stating those feelings in ways that honor you and get the response you truly desire from your significant other.

doesn't matter if you're an organic search guru or a PPC baron, you'd better be able to pinpoint the keywords that matter and become competitive for them as fast as possible.

My Keyword Research Technique

I like to get started in the AffiloTool's keyword tool - it's easy to use and it is very accurate. You can enter multiple terms, but for now, just one will do. I'll use "lose weight" as an example. The top level of search results will be terms that use the basic term, and will include things like:

* How to lose weight

* Lose weight fast

* Lose belly weight

These terms are all directly related to the term and give you more options to build your list. Look for the Global Monthly Search Volume to get an idea of how many searches this term gets each month.

Unless you're developing a PPC campaign, ignore any local search volume data that Google gives you. Also
ignore the competition data as this relates to PPC advertising. You just want to know how many people are searching.

Best Kinds of Keywords

Okay, so now you have a good general idea of what keywords you'll be using. What about the actual terms you should be targeting. I have a small listing of terms I like to use as often as possible. How you optimize will depend on your strategy, but if you're doing PPC, you pretty much have to have lists for these particular terms:

* Author Names - If you're promoting info products on weight loss products, you can find keywords related to the authors of those info products. Check your affiliate program's rules to determine if you're allowed to do this, but most vendors will be perfectly happy to let you. More commissions for you means more profits for them.

* Product Names - Along the same lines, product names are highly successful conversion tools. Most people, when searching for a specific product name, are looking for reviews, or final justification before a purchase. Volume is lower, but you're getting leads that are much more likely to convert.

* Long Tails - Finally, if you're doing PPC or creating an authority site, using long tail keywords can really
boost your performance. For example, if you're writing about dog training, you can add the dog breeds to
beginning of each keyword - instantly creating 200 longtails for each base keyword you have.

For example, someone might search for "fix golden retriever aggression" and someone else might search for
"fix poodle aggression". Those are both specific longtails and can be extended as much as is needed to get your traffic.

Tips for finding the money-magnet keywords that you have missed

There's no way around it - keyword research is the foundation of every good affiliate marketing business. It doesn't matter if you're an organic search guru or a PPC baron, you'd better be able to pinpoint the keywords that matter and become competitive for them as fast as possible.

It can be easy though to miss the important keywords. My favorite research tool for that is AffiloTools. Without it, I would be completely lost.

I'm going to go through with you today my tips for finding the money-magnet keywords that you - and your competitors - have missed!

My Keyword Research Technique

I like to get started in the AffiloTool's keyword tool - it's easy to use and it is very accurate. You can enter multiple terms, but for now, just one will do. I'll use "lose weight" as an example. The top level of search results will be terms that use the basic term, and will include things like:

* How to lose weight

* Lose weight fast

* Lose belly weight

These terms are all directly related to the term and give you more options to build your list. Look for the Global Monthly Search Volume to get an idea of how many searches this term gets each month.

Unless you're developing a PPC campaign, ignore any local search volume data that Google gives you. Also
ignore the competition data as this relates to PPC advertising. You just want to know how many people are searching.

Best Kinds of Keywords

Okay, so now you have a good general idea of what keywords you'll be using. What about the actual terms you should be targeting. I have a small listing of terms I like to use as often as possible. How you optimize will depend on your strategy, but if you're doing PPC, you pretty much have to have lists for these particular terms:

* Can I Use My Main Keyword in the Anchor Text?*

One mistakes a lot of newbies do is they over-do the anchor text. Avoid this trap! There is no exact magic number, but you should make sure that you don't use your main keyword more than 10% of the time in your anchor text.

Remember: Google wants to see your brand name as the #1 keyword you use when creating anchor text to your website. Google wants to see this, because to them, this makes your backlink profile more natural.

That is why it is good to not use an exact match domain when setting up your website. When choosing a domain, pick one that isn't an exact match of your main keyword.

* How Many Backlinks do I Really Need?*

How many backlinks you need depends on the quality of backlinks you build. I have ranked websites with 5 links or less, because I built high-quality backlinks.

For instance, the free video lesson (that I highly recommend you watch) teaches you how to build links using web 2.0 properties. Don't just create spammy properties: make them high quality!

What do I mean by that? I mean treat them like a mini website. Put high quality content on them that users will appreciate. Use pictures, and post videos.

When you make good web 2.0 properties, actual readers will find them and comment on them, and share them. Google will see that, and will value the link you created more. So put effort in.

* Can I See the Backlinks of My Competitors? *

Yes, you can! My favorite free tool to do this is Traffic Travis. It is free, so you don't have to buy anything.

Seeing the backlinks of your competitors is extremely valuable. It lets you see where they have gotten theirs from. You can then go, and get them too.

For example: lets say that a competitor has a guest blog post on a blog. If that blog accepted their post, there is a high chance that they'll accept your blog post too. So you can email that blog, ask - and get that link yourself.

In addition, it will let you see what anchor text distribution they are using. You can see what percentage of their anchor text is their main keyword, and what percentage is their brand keyword. You can then copy it!

* Won't I Be Penalized by Google Penguin? *

Twice, Google has released two updates to their search engine. These updates have been called the "Google Penguin" updates (plus Google has released different versions of these updates).

The Google Penguin updates target backlinks. These updates will penalize websites that build bad backlinks.

But see - did you read that? It targets BAD backlinks. If you build high-quality backlinks that Google likes, then you will be fine.

How to Get High Search Engine Rankings?

Getting high website rankings is key - otherwise, there will be no one to buy your products! What I'm going to teach you today I learned from this amazing program that teaches you how to create a fool-proof affiliate website, step-by-step.

Today is going to hit on a question I get almost every day from readers - the extremely broad question of how to get higher search engine rankings. Unfortunately, there is no single answer to this question.

It's one that would take hours to properly discuss, and there are hundreds of books on the topic. But, I can
definitely show you the basics and tell you what you need to be working on - all things you'll go into in further
detail in the future.

What Search Engines Want

Google is the de facto search engine, meaning what they want, we give them. Yahoo! and Bing are great tools, but they just don't have the volume that Google enjoys, and for the most part the algorithms are very similar across the board.

As for what Google wants, they've never been privy to tell us their search rankings, but we have been able to
speculate quite a bit - here's a list of what we do know:

* Inbound Links - The original algorithm that made Google what it is today is the one that taught the web how to rank sites by how many links they get from other sites. In particular, Google ranks you by the links you get from authority, reference, and related sites.

They don't like link exchanges, they don't like link farms and they definitely don't like empty pages with unrelated content linking to you. They do, however, like .gov and .edu sites, high Page Rank sites, and content rich sites on your niche linking to you.

* Keyword Density - Keyword density is far less of a factor than it once was, but it still stands out as a big
part of the process.

You'll need to ensure keywords appear in your Title Tags, META tags, your headings on the page, and within
inbound links you have pointing at your site. Proximity and placement on your page are also important as it shows the relative value of that keyword.

* Outbound Links - Links are fantastic coming in, but they can be valuable going out too. If you're referencing quality, related sites in your niche, it will show that you're intent on providing users with value and information. 

* Clean HTML - Messy HTML that isn't verified and has bad tags will not necessarily hurt you, but it sure won't help. There are conventions here that are too complex for a short message, but you'll want to have a programmer clean up any code you use on your sites if it's old or doesn't perform well. 

* Navigation Structure - Your pages should all be linked so that you can reach any other page on your site with ease. Remove any dead-end links, and don't have any links nested more than 3 pages deep in the structure. 

* Content Quality - More and more, Google's spiders are learning how to tell if your content is of a decent quality.

Using LSI (latent semantic indexing) and other natural language filters to gauge the way your keywords are laid out and how the content is formatted, they can tell if you're writing for a ranking or for useful content.

The result is that most pages need to be at least 400 words now, keyword density needs to stay below 4% and content needs to be topic related.

Getting high search rankings is a long process that requires an expert eye for content development and keyword planning. However, if you do it right, you'll find infinitely more value in your organic search listings than any single PPC campaign could ever provide as traffic will pour in repeatedly without any additional cost.
