It uses CBC-Casper proof of stake + rholang and aims to become the most powerful and widely used smart contract platform. The RChain Cooperative has two main purposes. One is building and maintaining a fast, secure, scalable blockchain infrastructure which will be the first publicly owned, publicly operated network. The other is enabling new ways for humans to collaborate at all scales.
