In my previous Candida article I listed out some of the topics I was going to cover in my articles.
In this article I am going to give a simple explanation of what is:
- Candida is a common condition caused by a heightened production of yeast in the body
- It is known by various names
- Everyone has Candida in their system at all times
- If unchecked, Candida reaches a fungal stage
Candida is also called Candidiasis, chronic Candidiasis, and Canduda Albicans. Everyone has Candida in normal amounts. Just like many things when dealing with the body, a normal amount is good. When something is over-produced, problems can arise. Millions of people suffer from an overgrowth of Candida which can lead to a host of physical and mental problems.
Candida normally thrives in a weakened immune system. When this happens, the yeast Candida forms rhizoids which are long hooks that dig into the body's membranes. The effects are often systematic. In
addition to vaginitis and thrush infections, there are a host of other physical symptoms associated by the overgrowth of this yeast!
This is why more and more attention is being given to Candidiasis these days. People are suffering and many medical professionals are missing the diagnosis.
In the next article I will cover the variety of symptoms associated with Candida Albicans!
